How we can find out exactly what the problem is:

Video gait analysis

You will be asked to walk on a treadmill while being filmed from the back, the side and the front. These images are played back in slow motion so that the back, hip, knee and foot movements can be studied individually, frame by frame.

Computerised gait analysis

A series of floor sensors pick up pressure, so when you walk over them a computer image is generated to show how the body weight is distributed over the areas of each foot.

F-Scan In-shoe pressure measurement

Also using computerised weight distribution, this time measurements are taken while your feet are in your shoes giving us a very realistic picture of what's happening.

X-ray Imaging

Instead of having to travel off-site and wait to be seen, we have
X-ray equipment at the clinic. This lets us have immediate access to the X-ray image and means you will not have to do any extra travelling.

Diabetic assessments

Diabetes can cause damage to your feet's blood and nerve supply and it's very important to be aware of any change that has effected you. We will use Doppler ultrasound to assess the state of your blood supply and will perform a range of simple tests to make sure your sensation is as good as it should be.
